Mr. James "Mack" Ellis, age 83, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, 
passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Plymount Rock 
Baptist Church, 1000 Wallis St. in Houma. Funeral Services will be held on 
Saturday, Feb. 13 at the church. 

Interment will follow in crozier Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Velma Harding Ellis; sons, Anthony and James Ellis 
Jr.; daughters, Janell Ellis and Kathy Ellis Smith (Rev. Troy); and sisters, 
Geraldine Theriot and Carrie Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
Thomas and Olisker Dillard Ellis; son, Elgin Arceneaux; brother, Melvin Sr. and 
Alvin Ellis; sister, Earline Ellis; and grand-parents, Rev. Thomas and Creasy 
Ringo Ellis, and Johnny and Edna Dials Dillard. He was a member of Blaine C. 
Clay Lodge #14 and retired Mechanic for Bell South.
