Shirley M. Fontanille, 80, was born on March 28, 1935 and passed away 
peacefully on February 21, 2016. 
She was a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish and resident of Thibodaux, 
LA. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at St. Charles 
Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux from 8:30 AM until funeral time. A Mass 
of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM 

with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery in 
Thibodaux. 

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Fontanille, Sr.; children, 
George Fontanille, Jr. and wife, Sally, Donna Collins, Karen Chiappetta and 
husbandd, Kevin, Darline Gregory and husband, Marvin, Pam Fontanille; 
grandchildren, George Fontanille III and companion, Christa Chautin, Jessica 
Collins, Kortney Chiappetta, Chandler Gregory, Cameron Gregory, Crystal 
Fontanille, and brother, Raymond Laterrade. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Pearl Laterrade; brother, 
Anthony Laterrade, Jr. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who 
enjoyed spending her time cooking for her family, watching sports, and sitting 
on her back porch watching the birds. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements.
