"Al" Hebert, 81, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Raceland passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016. Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with a private burial at a later date. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly F. Hebert; son, Danny Hebert (Julie); daughter, Cathy Hebert Babin; brothers, Harold Hebert, Ronald Hebert, Charles Hebert; sister, Dorothy H. "Dot" Beary; grandchildren, Casey Adams (Clay), Jonathan Babin (Alisha), Jacob Babin (Chantel Bales), Zachary Hebert, Joshua Hebert; great grandchildren, Nathan Adams, Emmalyn Adams, Henry Babin, Luke Babin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Bernard Hebert; son, David Michael Hebert; daughters, Diane Marie Hebert, Mary Alice Hebert. Education was his lifelong passion whereby he retired from Lafourche Parish School Board after teaching and becoming an administrator; touching many lives. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a Commissioner of the Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District, a member of the American Legion and an Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts.
