Noah "Pete" Hoob Jr., 82, of Houma, passed away on Feb. 28, 2016. 

Pete was a special man whose life has touched many. He was a loving husband to 
Della for 62 years. As a father, his love knew no bounds. His love extended 
beyond his family to his large network of friends. Many will remember him as a 
surrogate father. Pete worked tirelessly to provide for his family. When he 
wasn't working, he loved to fish, hunt, golf and play music. Family gatherings 
were filled with the sound of his guitar. He will be remembered fondly and 
greatly missed by many. 

Visitation will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 4 and 9 – 11 a.m. on 
Saturday, Mar. 5 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Funeral services will begin 
at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 

with burial to follow in the Rogers Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Della Hoob; son, Darrel Hoob (Shanna); daughters, 
Debra Kleinsmith, Donna Authement (Tim), Diana Hoob, and Darlene Boudwin 
(Tommy); brother, Marvin Hoob; sister, Diane Harleston; grandchildren, Jacob 
Authement, Desiree Authement, Daniel LeBoeuf, Alina Belling, and Christopher 
Hoob; great-grandchildren, Morgan Authement, Logan Belling, Noah Authement, 
Liam Belling, and Tristan LeBoeuf; step-grandchildren, Rachel Mitchell, Cody 
Colvin, Kimberly Kleinsmith, Kristopher Kleinsmith, Adam Kleinsmith, Jordan 
Boudwin, and Taylor Boudwin. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Noah Hoob Sr.; mother, Clara Hoob; 
brothers, Alvin "Bud" Hoob, David Hoob, and Marion Hoob; and sisters, Reba 
Ledet, Ala Bragg, and Patricia Samples. 

In lieu of flowers donations for the family are preferred. 

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
