Patricia Ann Ulmer Lavigne passed away on February 17, 2016 in Gonzalez. 

She was born September 20, 1929, in Thibodaux. "Patty" Lavigne was a lifelong 
Thibodaux resident who earned Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from 
Nicholls State University. 
She taught elementary education at Chackbay Elementary, L.T. Elementary, and 
Lafargue Elementary schools. 
She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma educational sorority. Her hobbies 
were gardening, cooking, and birdwatching. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton E. 'Buddy' Lavigne. Patty is 
survived by her children, John Lavigne, James Lavigne, and Dr. Melissa Gates, 
as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

At her request, no services will be held. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Audubon Society.
