Neva R. Leonard, age 82, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on 
Thursday, Feb. 10, 2016. 

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 at 
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take 
place at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Galliano. 

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nicholas "Nick" Leonard; son, 
Andrew Leonard; daughters, Cathy L. Matherne (Kirk), Wendy L. Guidry (Joey), 
and Emelda L. Crosby (Ronald); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 
and one great-great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leneas and Edna Lombas Rousse; son, 
Dennis Leonard; daughter, Lisa Theriot; brother, Irwin Rousse; sister, Sherry 
Cheramie and Liz Lafont. 

She enjoyed dancing. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
