LOUPE, CARRIE 
    DIED: February 6, 2016

Carrie Matherne Loupe passed away peacefully on February 6, 2016. 

Carrie was born on August 16, 1927; she is preceded in death by her husband, 
Paul Lester Loupe (WWII veteran), her parents Roger and Bertha Matherne, her 
brother Vincent and Landry Matherne, along with her grandson John Paul Loupe.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter Sharon (Glenn) Smith, her sons 
Randal, Scott (JoAnn) and Tyler (Connie) Loupe along with 7 grandchildren and 9 
great grandchildren.

Carrie was a lifelong resident of Des Allemands, who spent 25 years working for 
the LA DOTD as a Bridge Operator there. She was also well known as the local 
seamstress.

She will be sorely missed by all family and friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church on Thursday, February 
11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Catholic Church cemetery.
