Robichaux, 96, a lifelong resident of Raceland, LA, was called to his eternal reward in Heaven on February 10, 2016. Visitation will be held at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 8AM to 11AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in the church at 11AM. The address to the church is 612 Main St. in Lockport, LA. A private burial will occur at a later date. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Maxie Mayet Robichaux; son, Dr. Richard E. Robichaux Jr. (Denise); daughters, Bonnie R. Livingston (Robert), Alice R. Bonneval, and Leslie R. Suazo ( Dr. Herminio), step-daughters, Monique A. Breaux (Joe Smith) and Celeste B. Gisclair (Rodney); 14 grandchildren, Robert L. Livingston III (Cissy), David B. Livingston (Nance), Sue L. Kirchner (Dr. Kevin), Montigue "Tigue" M. Bonneval, Dr. Patrick L. Bonneval (Amy), René M. Bonneval, Estelle Merz (Peter), Estelle Robichaux, Emily R. Guinan (Joe), Eugenie R. Rogers (Scott), Patrick McVeigh, Caroline Gisclair, Natalie Gisclair, and Madelyn Gisclair; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his; father, Alcide Phillip Robichaux; mother, Allie Moore Robichaux; son, Rene` Robichaux; daughter, Estelle Robichaux; brother, Dr. Phillip Robichaux Sr.; sister, Alice R. Jones; grandson, Richard Livingston and former wife, Estelle "Boo" Robichaux Dr. Dick was a medical doctor in the U.S. Army who achieved the ranking of major while serving in World War II. He served both European and Pacific theatre. He was a devoted physician for over 60 years working private practice at St. Anne General Hospital and Leonard Chabert Medical Center. He retired from Chabert at 87 ½ years of age. He was an avid golfer with membership at Ellendale, Sugarland, and Thibodaux country clubs. He was a cattle rancher who loved animals. Although not a politician, he worked diligently for the Republican Party, influencing many to seek public office.
