Private services will be held at a later date. He is survived by his children Thomas (Skee) Roussel, of Mandeville, and Linda Roussel Richard and husband Jerome Sr., of Thibodaux; grandchildren, Tommy, Leigh, Nicole and Bradley Roussel, Robin Aysen, Jerome Jr. and Andy Richard, Jeri Maggio, Barbara Redmond, Donna Woods, Cheryl and Brian Hensarling, Kristen Reedy, and Charlene Egan; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents Ned J. Roussel Sr. and Edwina B. Stevens, sister Margie R. Falcon, and daughters, Virginia R. Egan and Mona Roussel. He was a U.S. Army sergeant and served honorably in Europe during World War II. He received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was an avid golfer, and played until he was 80. He loved watching golf, old westerns, and game shows. Donations in his name may be sent to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans or the Regional Military Museum in Houma.
