The crowns are bestowed, to merciful and sweet, but are all then laid, at the King of Heaven's feet." Christ has taught us that through His death, we have everlasting life. We are also aware that nothing on this earth is here to stay. All things come and all thing pass away. With the death of our beloved Rosa, our faith in eternal life with the Master must hold fast and be our guide. The Life of Rosa Mary Short will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 4328 N. Bayou Black Drive Gibson, LA 70356. She will have visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 12:00p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery. Sister Rosa Mary Williams Short departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the age of 70 when she joined her husband – Milton Short., parents – Clarence and Nora Jackson, grandparents – Ernest and Mayhla Lewis, one grandson – Corey Short and one son-in-law – Gregory Reed, in peaceful rest. Born August 13, 1945 to Clarence and Nora Jackson, Rosemary was the second born of four children. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church by the late Rev. Robinson. She was a graduate of Southdown High School in the Class of 1965. Rosemary was married to the late Milton Short for 42 years and to this union three beautiful daughters were born. She was employed by The Terrebonne Parish School Board, she retired in 2009. Her memories will be forever cherished by her 3 daughters – Tonya Short, Kena Reed and Cheryl (Garland) Sams; 3 sisters, Brenda (Wesley) Celestin, Rose Lee (Allen) Smith and Elaine Varist; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ======================
