Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1602.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== John Roy Theriot, age 73, a native of Theriot, LA and resident of Bayou DuLarge, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2 at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church; with burial to follow at a later date in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Germaine Theriot; son, Ward Theriot and fiance', Monique Porche of Bayou DuLarge; daughters, Adele Fulcher and companion, Maximillion "Jay" Acosta, Andrea Rodrigue and husband, Brent, Annette Burgo and husband, Richard, all of Bayou DuLarge, and Karen Smith and husband, Stuart of Thibodaux; grandchildren, James Fulcher, Travis Fulcher, Lillian Rodrigue, Ross Rodrigue, Jace Rodrigue, Elizabeth Theriot, Leigh Anne Theriot, Amy Theriot, Jolie Croker, Justin Croker, Jenna Croker, Christian Burgo, Matthew Burgo, Katie Burgo, Frances Smith and Noah Smith; brothers, Herbert Theriot and wife, Vivian, Elton Theriot and wife, Diana, Carroll Theriot and wife, Tennie, and Patrick Theriot and wife, Patricia; sisters, Cecile Evans, Lydia Champagne; sisters-in-law, Kim Theriot and Yvonne Hebert; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Amay Chauvin Theriot; brother, Clinton Theriot; sisters, Elsie Andrews and Madge Landry; son-in-law, Rodney H. Fulcher; and several brothers-in-law. Roy was a member of the Knights of Columbus #8779 and Extraordinary Minister of Communion at St. Eloi Catholic Church. He was a local artist and a Member of the New Orleans Art Association. Roy was a loving and devoted husband and father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. The family requests that contributions be made in memory of Roy to Catholic Charities for the St. Louis Infant Center. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. ======================
