She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard Toups; her parents Johnny Ledet, Sr. and Gloria Ledet; her granddaughter Savannah Warciski, and her beloved lifelong friends Donna Jean Beason and Paula Ronquille. Julia is lovingly remembered by her son Dwayne J. Beason of Denham Springs, her daughter Donna Beason Warciski and spouse Glenn, her stepdaughters Janet Toups Lewis and her spouse Scott, Sue Toups Bonvillain and her spouse Barry, and stepson David Toups; brother Johnny J. Ledet, Jr. and his spouse Linda; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. She was born in New Orleans, LA on March 26, 1946, the daughter of Johnny J. Ledet, Sr. and Gloria L. Ledet. She had one brother, Johnny J. Ledet, Jr. Julia graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1964 and soon began her career in banking. She dedicated herself to her career and was instrumental in cultivating trainings and careers in banking that are still thriving today. After 20 years in banking, she retired. She followed a dream and began Julianna's Cajun Cruises where introduced people from all over the world to the Louisiana culture, she dearly loved. She was a pioneer in many paths of her life. Julia loved to teach and was inspirational to many. Her spiritual journey came through many spiritual leaders but was deeply anchored in the teachings of the Native Americans. She adored nature and ALL living creatures. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart!! The visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Homes, 3838 Highway 1, Raceland, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 6-9 pm and again Friday morning from 9- 10:30 am. A "Celebration of her life" service will be held at 10:30 am following visitation. In her words: "When I have ascended, I want you to celebrate my life"!
