Maudrey Rita Alleman Bailey, 87, a native of Stephensville, and lifelong 
resident of Napoleonville, LA was called to rest on March 6, 2016, surrounded 
by family.

A visitation will be held in Maudrey's honor on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 
6:00pm until 9:00pm at Landry's Funeral Home in Napoleonville, LA. and on 
Friday, March 11, 2016 from 8:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 
11:00am. The burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in 
Napoleonville, LA.

Maudrey was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. The 
matriarch of the family, she selflessly put the needs of her family above her 
own. She spent her life raising nine children and would light up around her 
many grand children and great grand children, who were her pride and joy. 
Maudrey was adventurous, hard working, competitive and funny. She had a zest 
for life and loved to laugh, dance and spend time at the end of the lake. She 
liked to compete against family members in fishing competitions and while 
playing 'go-fish'. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding everyone. She 
will forever be remembered for her crepes. Maudrey was a beautiful woman, both 
inside and out and will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Josie Stanga and husband, Keith, Pat Verrett 
and husband Doug, daughter in law Dorene Bailey, Wilma Breaux and husband 
Wilton, Dorothy Gros and husband Tommy, Eleanor Bourgeois and husband Bobby, 
Anthony Bailey and wife Darlene, and Darryl Bailey; grandchildren Ben Stanga, 
Brian Stanga, Shawna Myers, Doug Verrett, Cory Bailey, Nancy Bailey, Eli 
Bailey, Michelle Collins, Jennifer Spindel, Heather Walker, Danielle Robinson, 
Brook Bourgeois, Janae Bourgeois-Das, Gavin Bailey, Jonathon Bailey, Misty 
Bailey, Josh Bailey, Chelsi Bailey, and step-grandchild Aimee Johnston, Misty 
Plauche, and Ashley Theriot; 37 great grandchildren; siblings Hazel Landry, 
Alma Glavin, Roy Alleman, Allen Alleman, Calvin Alleman, and Betty Blanchard.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wildon "Frere" Bailey; children James 
Bailey, Gerald Bailey and Melanie Bailey; parents Stewart Alleman and Fedora 
Aucoin Alleman; siblings Margaret Rhodes and Collins Alleman.
