Visiting will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Burial will follow in Brooklyn Lane Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Lenzy Jr, Bobby, and Kenneth (Penny) Coleman; daughters, Lisa and Glenzell Coleman; brothers, Rev. Leo (Jane) Coleman Sr., Evan Lewis, and Alvin (Charlotte) Douglas; sisters, Rita Lawson and Pearl Lofton; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Coleman; parents, Ceola and Melvin Coleman Sr.; brothers, Melvin Jr, Rev. Clifford Sr., Joseph, Clinton, and Robert Coleman Sr.; and sisters, Eula Thomas, Louella and Everline Coleman. He loved cooking, Carpenter work, and helping people.
