Deanna M. Cortez, 74, passed away, Tuesday, March 1, 2016. 
She was a native of Kraemer, LA and resident of Destrehan, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 8:30AM until funeral time 
at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer, LA. A Mass of Christian 
Burial will be at 11AM at the church, 

with burial to follow in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church cemetery in 
Kraemer.

She is survived by her brothers, Huey Cortez and wife Ruth, Robert Cortez and 
wife Melva, Jackie Cortez and wife Sandra and Malcolm Cortez and wife Laura; 
sister-in-law, Lou Cortez; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand Cortez, Sr. and Phelodia 
Hotard Cortez; sister, Marilyn Villeret; brother, Clifton and Carl Cortez; 
brother-in-law, Alvin Villeret.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ormond Nursing Home in 
Destrehan, LA for the great care they provided to Deanna; also a place Deanna 
considered her home for the last 13 years.
