Kirlin "Nookie" Matherne, 84, a native and resident of Raceland passed away 
March 12, 2016. Visitation will take place on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at St. 
Mary's Nativity Catholic Church from 9:00 am till service time. Funeral Mass 
will begin at 11:00 am 

with cremation following and burial at a later date.

Mr. Kirlin is survived by his sons Aaron Matherne wife Nola and Duane Matherne 
wife Kasey, daughters Anita Bourgeois husband Brent and Lauren Matherne, 12 
grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brothers Clarence "Buck" Matherne Jr., 
Francis "Poonie" Matherne, Robert "Bobby" Matherne, sisters Verna "Noonie" 
Theriot and Bernice "Bea" Falgout.

Mr. Matherne was preceded in death by his wife LouEmma Loupe Matherne, parents 
Clarence "Cayenne" Matherne Sr. and Cecile Matherne, sons Edward and Carl 
Matherne, brother J.C. "Jake" Matherne, Willie "Billy" Matherne, and Jerry "Pee 
Wee" Matherne and sister Betty Zeringue.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland entrusted with arrangements.
