Visitation will be from 8:00 am until funeral time on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday at the church with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. She is survived by her daughter, Gerry McIntire Prejean and husband, Buddy Prejean; son, Johnny McIntire, Jr.; grandchildren, Johnny McIntire, III, Jared McIntire, Meggie Prejean Dardar and husband, Michael Dardar, Maria Prejean, and Trey Prejean; sister, Mary Marcello Raynal; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Marcello. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tarleton McIntire, Sr.; son, Joseph McIntire; parents, Joseph Marcello and Blanche Rizzo Marcello; and brothers, Sam Marcello, Benny Marcello, Carlo Marcello, and Johnny Marcello. Bessie Rita was a kind, giving person who had a loving heart. Spending time with family and friends was the joy of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered for her big smile and giving heart. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to everyone for the support shown through this most difficult time. We appreciate all of the love demonstrated and prayers offered. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Sisters of Mount Carmel or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
