On Sunday, March 20, 2016, Gloria Monson Simoneaux was called by her heavenly 
father to go home. 

Gloria was well-known and loved by everyone she met. We always said she never 
met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. 

She is survived by one sister, Anita Monson Weeks; her nine children, son, Glen 
Simoneaux; daughter, Donna McClendon and husband Mac; son, Whitney Simoneaux 
and wife Mona; daughter, Trudy Albarado and husband Donnie; son, Mark (Byrd) 
Simoneaux and late wife, Michelle; daughter, Carla Alleman and husband Grady; 
son, Clay (Jimmy) Simoneaux Jr. and wife Bridget; son, Scott Simoneaux; son, 
Lance Simoneaux and wife Jill; 15 grandchildren, Jodi, Samantha, Kiley, Brooke, 
Golda, Beth, Tyler, Abby, Brandon, Hunter, Olivia, Julia, Emily, Sarah, and 
Caroline; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitney and Cordelia Monson; husband, 
Clay Simoneaux Sr.; son, Don Simoneaux; sisters, Elsie Monson, Heloise 
Buckland, and Helen Blanchard; brother, Wesley Monson Sr.

The family would like to thank everyone who gave her such loving care and a 
special thanks to her close friend and nurse, Loretta Hernandez Landry, who was 
always there to give her loving care and fun. Gloria was 86 years young.

A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 8:00AM 
till funeral time at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville, LA. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM at the church.

Landry’s Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
