Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1603.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Marybeth “Beth” Hester Stringer, 66, a native of Wiggins, MS and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Thibodaux Funeral Home from 5:00 PM-8:00PM and on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Thibodaux Funeral Home from 11:00AM until funeral time. A religious service will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Thibodaux Funeral Home at 1:00 PM officiated by Father Doug Lasiter and Reverant Andy Varnado. Burial will take place on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Clear Creek Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stringer; sons, David Eaton and wife, Susie, Andy Boyet and wife, Katie, and grandchildren, Mark Eaton, Gideon Boyet, Josiah Boyet, E.J. Boyet. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Cline Hester and Inez Slaymaker Hester. A graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.A. and an M.A. in Sociology, Beth worked as a Rehab Counselor at Louisiana Rehab Services and was always passionate about her work and always helping others. She was also very active in TAWASI, a community organization that raises money to help those less fortunate. In her spare time, Beth coordinated with various movie companies to assist them in finding costumes and other items needed on movie sets. She is survived by her boxers who she loved dearly: Coco, Marmaduke, and Norman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Journey Hospice, 598 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA, 70360.
