THOMAS, OTIS, SR.
February 9, 1936 ~ March 28, 2016 (age 80)

Otis Thomas, Sr., 80, a native Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, passed 
away peacefully at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 
April 2, 2016 at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church located at 146 Banks St. with 
Pastor Troy Smith officiating. 

Private burial will follow at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Porter Thomas; four sons, Matt Thomas 
(Sharon), Todd Thomas, Sr.; Jason Thomas, and Gary Thomas (Kathryn); two 
daughters, Nedra Sapia (Troy) and Karen Thomas-Narcisse (Troy); sister Lizzy T. 
Guidry; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Otis Thomas, Jr.;  granddaughter, Anyssa 
Thomas; parents, the Rev. Matt Thomas, Jr. and Mary Jasper Thomas; 
grandparents, Matt, Sr. and Mary Simpson-Thomas; brothers, Welton, Matt, 
Herbert, Benjamin, George, Jeff, Isaac, Jasper, and the Rev. Saul Thomas; and 
sisters, Elsie Nevers and Eula Mae Jones.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
