Westerman, Jr., 61, was born on September 3, 1954 and passed away peacefully on March 28, 2016. He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Schriever, LA. A visitation will take place on Friday April 1, 2016 at Thibodaux Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday April 2, 2016 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, LA from 9:30 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in St. Bridget Catholic Church cemetery in Schriever. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary P. Westerman; children, Jennifer W. Hoover, Christie W. Myers and husband Jason, Joshua P. Westerman and wife Shelly, and Caren Westerman; father, Raymond F. Westerman, Sr.; mother, Hazel Navarre Himel; grandchildren, Olivia Westerman, Blake Hoover, Dylan Hoover, Tayton Westerman, Hayli Hoover, Kohen Westerman; sisters, Judy W. Naquin and husband Freddie and Jennie W. Daigle and husband Fred; brother, Audie "Bert" Himel; 2 step brothers; 2 step sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his step father, Andrew Himel; maternal grandparents, Noah and Clercy Naquin Navarre, paternal grandfather, Leonard Westerman, and paternal grandparents, Bridgette Guillot Westerman Thibodaux and Dennis Thibodaux. He was a long-time employee of McDermott and retired from Coastal Crane Repairs of Houma. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a former member of the Antique Riders and C.B. Radio Club where he was known as "Super Slick", a Senator of the Jaycees and a faithful member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. He enjoyed riding his motorbike, loved tinkering with cars, and building things for his family and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his wife, Mary. He took great pride in his grandchildren. He never met a stranger because everyone was his "Pal". He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
