He was a native of Edgard, LA and born on Evergreen Plantation. He resided in Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church until mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Carlos Abadie; sons, Brian Abadie (Char), Thomas Abadie; daughters, Wanda Thibodeaux (Curt), Kim Marcel (Kenneth), Melanie Boudreaux (Sterling), Amy Kraemer (Ronnie); sister, Clara Baudoin; nine grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeon and Aurora Waguespack Abadie; daughter, Carla Ann Abadie Callahan; siblings, Raymond, Clifford and Errol Abadie, Mercedes Cooper, Lucille Dupepe, Grace Pitre, Aurora Dickerson, Carmen McDonald, and Dolly Louviere. He was a member/parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Proud World War II Navy Veteran, served on the USS Appalachian.
