A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville from 9:00 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in St. Philomena Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wayne C. Acosta; children, Jennifer Acosta Cavalier and husband, Derek Cavalier and Jason P. Acosta and wife, Lori Bernard; grandchildren, Konnor Cavalier, Collyn Cavalier, Olivia Acosta, and Ethan Acosta; and sister, Beulah D. Sharp and husband, Ivon Sharp. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney "Babe" and Daisy Oncale Durocher; and sisters, Hazel D. Daze and Bessie D. Simoneaux. Mary was an Eucharistic Minister, religion teacher, and a member of St. Philomena's Bereavement Committee. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver to all.
