Mary Nell Carson-Alvis, 74, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, passed 
away peacefully at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016. 

Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 
April 30 at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband, Isaac Alvis Jr.; sons, Jessie Turner Jr. 
(Cassandra) and Rontrell Alvis; daughter, Sharon Dear (Deric); stepsons, Issac 
III., Michael, and David Alvis; grandchildren, Delmar and Derica Dear; 
brothers, Earl Ball, John (Augustine), Charlie (Jenny), Dennis, Jimmy, and 
Ronald Carson; sisters, Ivory Powell, Carolyn James, Ernestine Miller, Cathy 
Questel, Ella Small, Faye Jones, Anna McKnight, and Ruth Carter. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bevery Carson; grandchild, Sherrica 
Dear; parents, Jake and Mattie Bradley-Carson; stepmother, Elrena Carson; five 
brothers, and three sisters. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
