Gustave "Gus" Broussard, 79, a native of Calcasieu Parish and a resident of 
Gray, passed away on April 3, 2016. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Samart 
Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral 
home. 

Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Joy Broussard; children, Troy Raley and wife, 
Wendy, Crystal Trahan and husband, Dudley, Annette Raley, Buffy Knoblock and 
husband, Randy, and Brent Broussard; 16 Grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddrick and Ovelia Broussard; 
daughter, Penny Raley; daughter in law, Renee Broussard; brother, Willis 
Broussard; sisters, Annie Lou Simon and Viola LeBoeuf; grandchild, Leon Trahan; 
and great-grandchild, Braxton Gainey. 

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
