Ruth B. Deroche, 80, a resident of Houma, passed away on April 17, 2016. 

Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. The Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her sons, Carlton J."T" Deroche, Jr. and wife, Emma, John W. Deroche and wife, Sherri, David K. Deroche, and Toby D Deroche and wife, Lori; daughters, Judy D. Chaisson and husband, Dennis, Vickie Briggs and husband, Jay, and Wendy Brien and husband, Roy; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchild; and brothers, Charles Bettencourt, John Bettencourt, and Ricky Bettencourt 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton J. Deroche Sr.; parents, John Bettencourt Sr. and Judith Bettencourt; sisters, Judy Pichoff, Dot Crocker, and Betty Mhoon; and brother, Joe Bettencourt. 

In lieu of flowers donations to Alziheimer's Foundation of America 

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
