Mrs. Josephine Grimes, age 79, a native of Houma and Resident of Terrebonne 
Parish, passed away on Sunday, April 17 2016. 

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on 
Saturday, April 23 at First Corinthians Baptist Church, 1114 Church Street in 
Houma, La., 

with interment in Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by her brother, Junius Hawkins; and sisters, Mercedes White, 
Rose Bradley, Elmira Ward, Joyce Gary, Judy Steward and Willie Mae McNeil. 

Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Ollie Williams 
Hawkins; brothers, Thomas and Leonard Hawkins; and sisters, Evelina Hunter, 
Margaret Hawkins and Dollie Turner. 

Gertrude Geddes Willis- Terrebonne Funeral Home 617 Bond St. of Houma in charge 
of service.
