Betty James Holmes, 61, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, 
passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. 

Mrs. Holmes will have visitation from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 15 and 
from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Community 
Funeral Home. 

Interment will follow at Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by one son, Earl James; two daughters, April and Dana James; 
brothers, Roy, Michael, Lawrence, Bennie, Steven, Joe and Clayton James; 
sisters, Hattie, Bonnie, Roslyn, Naomie and Stacy James; seven grandchildren; 
and three great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl James, Rosemary J. Welch and 
step-father, Charles Welch; and one sister, Mary Johnson. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Community Funeral Home.
