She was a native of Yazoo City, MS and resident of Houma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 5:00pm until Memorial time at First United Methodist Church. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 6:00pm at First United Methodist Church. The family will hold a private burial at St. Francis Cemetery #2 on a later date. She is survived by her Children: Michael G. Smith Sr. and wife Hyon Chu, Jan Jones and husband Randy Barnett, Tricia Cannon and husband Daniel, Bobby Jones and husband Robert Hall, David Jones and wife Monique, and Neta Wright and husband Doc, Grandchildren: Ginny Tabor and husband Med, Seth Cannon and wife Kari, Michael G. Smith Jr. and Ashley, Lindsey Cannon Johnson and husband Jeff, Joshua Cannon and wife Jenna, Caitlin Jones, Taylor Wright and Jacob, Kylie Smith, Lauren Jones, Allie Wright, Benjamin Jones, Jonathan Jones, Great Grandchildren: Makenzi and Evie Cannon, Bradyn and Claire Tabor, Jaxon and Maddox Cannon, and Myles Smith, and Brother: Jack Slaton and wife Peggy. She was preceded in death by her, Husband: W.B. Jones, Parents: Joseph "Jack" Slaton and Nannie Sue Rodgers Slaton, Grandsons: Thomas and Joseph Wright, and Step-Son: Richard Jones. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Frances was an Avon District Sales Manager for twenty five years. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother, and Meemaw to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances traveled the world and knew few strangers. She had a joy for life. She loved people and making them happy. Frances and her Husband, W.B. Jones, were happily married for fifty four years. The family would like the thank The Oaks of Houma for their love and care.
