He is survived by his children, Judith L. Traigle (Thedore), Joan L. Rome (Robert), Diane L. Meaux, RN (Billy) and Donald M. Landry (Deborah); grandchildren, Heather T. Hill, Thomas Meaux, Rebecca L. Stubbert, PhD, Loryn T. Coco, Alison Rome, MD, Kimberly Meaux, OTR, Jamie L. Mahler, PhD, Robby Rome, Brian Meaux, Philip Landry, Sean Traigle, Courtney Rome, MD, and Lindsey Rome; fourteen great-grandchildren and special friend, Myrna C. Schultheis. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, May Olivier Landry; his parents, Sabin J. Landry and Clara P. Landry; three brothers, Sabin "Pete" Landry, Thomas Landry, and Benedict Roger Landry; five sisters, Amelia Landry, Belshire Marshall, Crystal Conrad, Daisy Luquette and Louise Bergeron. He was a proud World War II Veteran serving in the United States Merchant Marines. He was an employee of Chevron Chemical, Oronite Division for 31 years, and a member of the Belle Chasse Knights of Columbus, Council 6357 and Bayhi- Ravey American Legion Post 329. He was a longtime Parishioner and Lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Belle Chasse. He enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and spending time with family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mausoleum, Belle Chasse, LA.
