James "Jim" H. McCallister, 56, a native of Grand Prairie, TX and a resident of 
Houma, passed away on April 11, 2016. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by 
the memorial talk at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1830 
Prospect Blvd, Houma. 

He is survived by his wife, Jessie S. McCallister; children, Ryan Gordon and 
wife, Heather, Derek Gordon and partner, Amanda Gibson, Amanda "Mandi" Robinson 
and husband, Mark, and Dillon McCallister; grandchildren, Karleigh, Caleb, 
Kade, Ava, and Lyric; father, Harold Diehl and wife, Virginia; siblings, 
Michael Diehl and wife, Susan, Vickie May, Cindy Murphy and husband, Danny, 
Fred Diehl and wife, Debbie, Don McCallister and wife, Judy, and Maria McKnight 
and husband, Johnny; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karleen McCallister and stepfather, 
Howard; brother, Ray McCallister; and mother-in-law, Anna Mae Songy. 

He touched many lives and will be dearly missed. 

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
