Shawn Elliott Parfait, 40, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00AM.  
He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 9:00am to service time, at 
Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 
at 4:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. 
 
He is survived by his Mother: Maryal Dion Mewherter and husband Thomas, 
Companion: Kimberly Trosclair, Five Children: Blaze Elliott Parfait, Blair 
Elizabeth Parfait, Bryant Michael Parfait, Olivia Parfait and Kennedy Claire 
Parfait, Sisters: Tiffany Parfait Reed and husband Chris, and Heather Elizabeth 
Parfait.  Shawn is also survived by his niece Katie Nicole Authement and 
godchild Lauren Michelle Authement and host of family and friends who loved him 
dearly. 
 
He was preceded in death by his, Father: Howard Parfait, Paternal Grandparents: 
Jean Baptiste Howard Parfait and Marie Ella Solet Parfait, Maternal 
Grandparents: William Thomas Dion and Josephine Annie Solet Dion.
 
Shawn was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He was a talented musician. 
He loved writing music and playing his guitar. He was an avid fisherman, die-
hard New Orleans Saints fan, an accomplished cook and a member of United Houma 
Nation. He loved to entertain his friends, whom he loved dearly. He will be 
dearly missed by all who knew him. 
 
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever 
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
