Donald Joseph Portier, a native of Chauvin and resident of Bourg, passed away 
on April 7, 2016 at the age of 61. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 9 a.m. until funeral 
time at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. 

He is survived by his wife, Monica F. Neil Portier; daughter, Jenna Portier; 
and sisters, Marlene Pinell (Ernie) and Geraldine LeBoeuf (Larry). 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trasimond Joseph and Allie Trahan 
Portier. 

He attended St. Joseph Benedictine High School and graduated in the class of 
1972. 
He was a radar endorsement instructor at Fletcher Community College. 

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
