Gabriel "Gabe" A. Richard, 83, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Thibodaux, passed away on April 11, 2016. 

Visitation will be on Friday, April 15 from 5 P.m. to 9 p.m. at Thibodaux 
Funeral Home and on Saturday, April 16 from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at 
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will take place at 11 a.m. at the church. 

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose Blanchard Richard; children, Keith 
Richard (Diane), Mardel Davis, Darren Richard (Robin), Denise Calcote (Wade), 
Michael Richard; brother, Eugene Richard; grandchildren, B.J., Keith Jr., 
Gabriel, Shannon, Matthew, Danielle, Kye, Chris, Hailey, and Austin; 22 great-
grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodule and Esma Aysenne Richard; 
brothers, Roland, Junius, Rudolph "Butsy", and Leroy Richard; sister, Mary 
Hebert; great-grandchildren, Bryce Richard and Jordan Morrell. 

He had a love for baseball, dancing, fishing, bowling and watching the 
grandchildren participate in various activities. 

A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Audubon Guest Home for taking 
care of our dad. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
