Alex J. Rodrigue, Jr., 88, a native of Valentine and resident of Raceland, 
passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016. 

Visitation will be held at Raceland Assembly of God Church on Thursday, April 
28 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9:00 a.m. 
until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., 

with burial to follow in Barrios Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Toups Rodrigue; children, Lelia 
Tregre (Robert), Lisa Thomas (Terry), Linda Rodrigue (Susan), Lynette Rodrigue 
(Jared), Alex Rodrigue III (Rhonda), Lee James Rodrigue, Lance Rodrigue; 
sister, Gertrude Hebert; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Sr. and Ida Marroy Rodrigue; 
daughter, Louise Rodrigue; brothers, Eddie, Nicholas, Roy, Louis, Calvin, Huey 
Rodrigue, Frank Davis; sisters, Lillian Hidalgo, Louise Rodrigue, Lucia 
Rodrigue, Lucille Guidroz, Lula Mae Chiasson, Shirley Rose Sevin. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
