There will be a memorial mass on Friday April 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma, La. with interment at St. Francis de Sales cemetery. She is survived by her son, Harding Rome and wife Liz Niven Rome; her daughter Wendy Rome; granddaughter, Reagan Rome DeKeyzer and husband Johndavid Dekeyzer; granddaughter, Dr. Aimee Rome DVM; and great-grandson, Zane Edison DeKeyzer as well as extended family in Houma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vital Henry and Winnie Champagne Henry; her husband, Lt. Col. Harding Rome; and two brothers, Earl Henry and Royce Henry DDS. Grace was born in Houma on Aug. 14, 1920. She was a graduate of LSU and Vice President of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. After graduation, she taught school in Terrebonne Parish. She lived in many states and countries since her husband was a U.S. Air Force pilot for 25 years. She was a Junior Catholic Daughter and volunteered at Chaubert Gift Shop for many years while living in Houma. She also gave generously of her time to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and in 2003 received the state NAMI award for leadership. Grace was an avid bridge player, golfer and member of Houma Golf Club and Ellendale Country Club. She was a loving, larger than life figure in her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. ======================
