James Albert Starks Jr., 81, a native of Labadieville and a resident of 
Thibodaux, LA departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. 

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 
11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA. 

Entombment in St. Joseph Mausoleum. 

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Prevost; daughters, Angela Starks Calloway 
(Ronald), and Michele Starks Miller (Lionel); sisters, Connie Carter, Gladys 
Keyes, and Carolyn Davis (Obra); brothers, Donald Starks Sr. (Lydia), and 
Ronald Starks Sr. (Saundra); three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and 
numerous relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and James Albert Starks Sr.; brothers, 
Norman and George Starks Sr.; sisters, Brenda S. Young, Delores S. Jones, Alice 
S. Keller, Joann S. Walker, and Margarette S. Domino.
