Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday, May 19 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. He was survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Falgout Arabie; children, Michael P. Arabie and wife, Regina, Mona A. Zeringue and husband, Randy, Mark P. Arabie and wife, Lynette, and Matthew P. Arabie and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah, and Patrick Zeringue, and Courtney A. Rodrigue; step-grandchildren, Jarrod Boudreaux, Brandy, Ted, and Mandy Dominique; and brother, Edward J. Arabie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Annette Arabie; grandson, Christopher P. Zeringue; parents-in-law, Sanders and Yvonne M. Falgout Sr.; brother-in-law, Sanders Falgout, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Betty L. Arabie. Milton was a graduate of Lockport High School, Louisiana State University, and Nicholls State University. He served as First Lt. of the Army Artillery during the Korean War. He was a retired member of the Lafourche Parish School Board, where he was a teacher, coach, and principal for 39 years. He served as the director of the Lafourche Parish Recreation District #2 for 43 years. He was a past president and member of the Raceland Lions Club; a member of the Raceland American Legion Post #349; and a member of the Raceland VFW Post #3665; and past member of Raceland Grand Marshall Club. Milton was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He touched many lives through his years of teaching, coaching, and being principal fulfilling his mission of, "Putting Central Lafourche on the map."
