She was born of Houston, Texas and a resident of Houma, LA for eighty eight years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:00am to service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1. She is survived by her, Husband of sixty-nine years, Bert Chauvin Sr.; son, John Chauvin; daughter, Angela Chauvin Cicero; grandchildren; Joshua and Jameson Chauvin, Celia Chauvin Stevens, Megan Chauvin Labit, Dylan Chauvin, Lori Cicero, Harry Cicero II, Benjamin Cicero; great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Reid, Mason, Eli, Keegan; Niece, Sandra Boudreaux Chauvin; nephew, Charles "Don" Boudreaux. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Norman and Alice Aitkens Worden; sons, Bert Chauvin JR and James Chauvin; brother, Norman "Charles" Worden; sister, Kathleen Worden Boudreaux. Known as "Baby Alice", or " Mrs. Chauvin". “Maw Maw Alice” touched every life that she came into contact with. She always had food, especially burgers and bannana pancakes for her loved ones and their friends. Alice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with all of them, above all she adored her grandchildren. Mrs. Chauvin taught in the Terrebonne Parish School System for 28 years at Grand Caillou, Little Caillou, and Honduras Elementary Schools. She always spoke of each child she taught with love and fond memories. In her retired years, she enjoyed playing bingo, as well as visits from her family, which meant the world to her.
