Julia Marcel Constant, age 80, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. 
Julia was a resident of Schriever and former resident of Kraemer. 

She was a loving wife and mother who worked with her husband in their family 
businesses, Kenway Construction and Kenneth R. Constant, Inc. 

Julia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth “Bozo” Constant, resident 
of Schriever and native of Kraemer. She is also survived by her children: 
Ramona Tauzin and husband Chris of Baton Rouge, Kenneth “Bud” Constant, Jr. of 
Thibodaux, David Constant and wife Shaun of Mississippi, Catherine “Cathy” 
Keehn and husband Rory of Thibodaux, Reverend Van L. Constant of Schriever, Gil 
Constant and wife Gennifer of Baton Rouge. Grandchildren are Adam Tauzin and 
wife Lindsy of Jennings, Rachelle Tauzin Wheeler and husband TSgt Ronald 
Wheeler, USAF, Andrew Tauzin of Baton Rouge, Heather Constant of Baton Rouge, 
Kenneth “Kenny” Constant, III of Thibodaux, David “DJ” Constant of Choupic, 
Derek Constant of Choupic, Caitlin Keehn Stroud and husband Steven of 
Thibodaux, Nora Keehn of Thibodaux, Amanda Constant of Baton Rouge, Erin 
Constant of Baton Rouge, Celia Landreneau Vershay and husband Justin of 
Belvins, AR, Maegan Prince of Schriever and Tyler Hebert of Bayou Blue. Great 
Grandchildren are Levi Tauzin of Jennings, Aubrey Keehn of Thibodaux, Gabrielle 
“Gabby” Keehn of Thibodaux, Baby Stroud due July, 2016, Brock Vershay of 
Belvins, AR, and Jenny Vershay of Belvins, AR. Julia is also survived by her 
sister Jeanette Marcel Naquin of Schriever, three sisters-in-law: Vivian Galle 
of Schriever, Gwen Wong Marcel of Thibodaux, and Jeanne Constant Michot of 
Napoleonville and her brother-in-law Nelson J. Constant, Jr. 

Julia is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Pontiff Marcel Babin, her 
stepfather Sidney Babin; her daughter Jennifer Constant Landreneau Hebert; 2 
brothers: Orey Galle and Jack Marcel and her father David J. Marcel.

Visitation will be held at Thibodaux Funeral Home on Thursday, June 2, 2016 
from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm Thursday evening. Visitation 
will resume on Friday, June 3rd at 8:00am until 10:00am. At that time, we will 
travel to Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament Church (former St. Patrick Church) in 
Gibson, LA for the Requiem High Mass of the Traditional Form at 11:00am. 

Burial to follow at St. Bridget Church Cemetery in Schriever.
