Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1605.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mrs. Irene Hoglind died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Bossier City, LA at the age of 78. Irene is survived by her children. Michael Hoglind and wife Rachel (their children Devin (wife Sydonna, and children Autumn and Brantley), Christopher, and Mallory Hoglind. Steven Hoglind (wife Darlene, their son Thomas and daughters Megan and Margaux), and Allen "Scott" Hoglind (wife Cheri, and their daughters Tiffany and Brittany); siblings, one brother, Nolan Sevin, and sisters Olivia Porche and Mathilda Barbo. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Allen Joseph and Felicie Leblanc Sevin, and brother Dewey Sevin, and sisters Elaine Falcon and Daisy Ellender. Irene was born on March 29, 1938 in Chauvin, LA. She was a long time resident of the Houma "High Rise" elderly apartment complex where she was very involved in many of the activities offered there until moving to Bossier City, LA. After moving to Bossier City, Irene was accomplished at cooking and baking and often helped raise large amounts of money for the elderly housing complex she lived in by participating in bake sales and other charitable activities which benefitted the "COMPLEX". She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her children and grandchildren and who was passionate about her Bingo Club and the friends she made there. The family will be taking her home to Houma, LA to her final resting place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2, where a grave side service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday afternoon and she will be buried with her beloved cat "Little Bit".
