The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 am. Praying of the Rosary will began at 11 am and the Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon. Peggy Huval was born June 23, 1956 in Houma, LA and passed away at her residence in Broussard, LA on the evening of Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She passed away peacefully with her loving husband, John, by her side. Peggy was a simple and ordinary woman but a true "liver of life." Her devotion to her faith was evident during the time that she spent as the Director of Religious Education and Choir Director at St. Anthony of Padua in Houma for 10 years. She spent 20 years as a Nurse of the Oncology Unit at Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans. Her love for people and the lives she touched was heartwarming. Peggy never met a stranger and felt the need to care for everyone in her own special and unique way. Her cats were also included in her family and loved dearly. She embodied strength, grace and compassion during her own personal struggles and always remembered others in her prayers. During the relaxing times that Peggy would have she was active in the community and enjoyed performances by the New Orleans Little Theatre. Peggy Huval leaves a wonderful legacy to be cherished and continued by her husband John Huval of Broussard, LA; daughter Megan (Rudy) Helwick of Madisonville, LA; son Johnathan (Katie) Marcel of Metairie, LA; mother Merle "Kitty" Davis of Davenport, FL; two brothers Peter (Mary) Matherne of Houma, LA and Michael (Elba) Matherne of Davenport, FL; father and mother in law Joseph and Margaret Huval of Lafayette, LA; and one grandson Rudy Helwick of Madisonville, LA. Peggy also leaves lasting memories with a large circle of family, friends, extended family and her furry friends. The family of Peggy Huval would like to extend special Thanks to NSI HOSPICE, St. Genevieve Choir Members and the Eucharistic Ministers of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Broussard for the care and compassion that made Peggy's final days comfortable. The family would also like to thank those that supported them through the journey with prayers and kind acts. Peggy Huval and her family were cared for and entrusted final arrangements to Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory of Broussard, LA ======================
