Joyce Duet LeBlanc, 86, a native of Labadieville, LA and resident of Thibodaux, 
LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am at 
St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will 
be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church 

followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Rosalie Shaw and husband Phil, Pat Adams, 
Shelton LeBlanc, Paulette Fanning; brother, Eddie Duet; grandchildren, Leslie 
Shaw, Scott Shaw and wife Janet, Kim Stevens, Jerome Shaw and wife Stephanie, 
Kyle Shaw and wife Mandie, Erin Shaw, Renee Bivins and husband Ralph; 19 great-
grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin A. LeBlanc; parents, Louis and 
Marie Diaz Duet; brother, Allen Duet; sisters, Lucy D. Troxler, Vivian Morvant; 
grandson, Nicholas Shaw.

She loved gardening and working in her yard. It was said that she had a green 
thumb because she could put a stick in the ground and it would grow. She was a 
kind and generous person who would do anything for anyone. She will be greatly 
missed.

She spent the last weeks of her life with daughter Pat and granddaughter Leslie 
who took care of her. 
A very special thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice and Patti Voss for the 
excellent care and support.
