Rodney T. Simon, Sr., 62, born on May 30, 1953 passed away on Wednesday, May 
25, 2016. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, LA.

A visitation will be held at Thibodaux Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 
from 8:00 am until Prayer Services at 11:00 am.

He is survived by his mother, Adeline Richard Simon; sons, Rod Simon Jr. and 
wife Karen Boudreaux, and Ricky Simon and his wife, Sandie; daughter, Crystal 
Abadie and her husband, Bud; brothers, Robert “Whitey” Simon and his wife, 
Geraldine; sisters, Cathe DeRoche and her husband, Glenn, and Dee Dee Broussard 
and her husband, Vance; and grandchildren, Matthew and Dru Abadie, and Faith 
and Claire Simon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaston Joseph Simon; and life-long 
friend, Frankie Champagne, Jr.

Rodney was an avid deer hunter, Ford Mustang enthusiast, and enjoyed camp life.

His family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Ellis and the staff at 
Thibodaux Regional’s Cancer Center. Also, the staff at St. Joseph Hospice with 
special mention to “Tee” and Dori.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements.
