Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at New Covenant Community Church in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gertrude Coupel Templet; sons, Carl Templet and Kathy Thompson, Pierre Part, Cory Templet and Roxana Dubose, Pierre Part, Glen Templet and wife Lisa, Pierre Part, LA; daughters, Dedriea Blanchard and husband Jason, Houma, LA, Nancy and husband Phillip Gauthier, Labadieville, LA; brother, Charles “Shah” Templet, Pierre Part; sisters, Theresa Simoneaux, Morgan City, Rita Metrejean, Pierre Part; grandchildren, Sherrica Theriot and husband Brent, Carl Templet, Jr. and wife Heather, Cindy Templet and fiancé Brian Guillot, Kellan Templet and wife Amanda, John Gauthier and fiancé Jamie Guillot, Shadie Templet, Jordy Gauthier, Darienne Templet, Alaina Blanchard, Weston Templet; great grandchildren, Derrick Mayon, Jr., Baylee Callegan, Sydnee Templet, Kylar Templet. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Papare” Paul Templet and Adeline “Blanch” Templet; brother, Alvin “Van” Templet; great grandson, Brennan Theriot. He worked as a carpenter, commercial fisherman and a pipe fitter. He enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking and entertaining his family. He loved squirrel and turtle hunting, finding cypress logs, crawfishing and exploring the outdoors. ======================
