Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1605.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Edward "Bud" Trahan, the former Heloise Trahan, age 98, at 2:00 pm Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Nicholas DuPre officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home from 10:30 am until the service time on Friday with a Rosary being recited at 11:30 am. A native of Jeanerette and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Trahan died on May 10, 2016 at Iberia Medical Center. Heloise worked for the Iberia Parish Draft Board, Farm Bureau of Iberia Parish, served as a member of the KC Council 3425 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a longtime parishioner at St. Peter's Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Dauterive and husband Edward, III of New Iberia; two sons, Kenneth Trahan and wife Yolanda of Houma and Donald Trahan, Sr. and wife Stephanie of Broussard; seven grandchildren, Michele Dauterive Stelly, Patrice Dauterive, Edward Dauterive, V., Kimberly Trahan Scholz, Jennifer Trahan Barber, Celeste Trahan, and Donald Trahan, Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Bud" Trahan; parents, Joseph and Celestine Baudry Trahan; two brothers, Alcee Trahan and Albert Trahan; three sisters, Emily Monnin, Elise Pecunia, and Anita Begue; and one grandchild, Edward Dauterive, IV. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Barber, Edward Dauterive, V., Robert Scholz, Dwain Stelly, Matthew Stelly, and Donald Trahan, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Dauterive, Charles Landry, and Ross Landry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to Catholic High School, 1301 de La Salle Dr., New Iberia, LA 70560.
