Evelyn James Willis, 73, a native and resident of Houma, passed away peacefully 
at 5:41 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, 
May 13 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 3076 W. Main St. in Gray, LA. 

with burial to follow in Southdown Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Curley, Hammond, and Melvin Calloway; daughters, 
Pearl Calloway, Agnes Sims and Melissa Smith; brother, Lanuel James; sister, 
Margret James; nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Pearl Turner James; 
brothers, Lester and Julius James; and sister, Pearl James.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
