She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 11:00am to service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her sons, Craig S. Duet and wife, Eva, and Kevin J. Duet and wife, Rhonda; daughters, Karen L. Duet and companion, Brian Brunet, and Karla A. Neal and husband, Richard "Petie"; brothers, Eldon J. Freeman, Sr. and wife, Edna, Richard B. Freeman, Jr., and Carroll J. Freeman and wife, Darlene; sister-in-law, Harolyn Freeman; grandchildren, Megan D. Adams and husband, Brett, Spencer Duet and fiance’, Lindsay Morgan, Sydne' Neal and companion T.J. Freeman, Chase Duet and fiance’, Alex Vanhoose, Emily Duet and Rylie Neal; great-grandson, Ethan Adams; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James Joseph Duet, Sr.; parents, Richard B. Freeman Sr. and Bessie Bridgette Samanie Freeman; son, James J. Duet, Jr.; brothers, John Freeman and Garret B. Freeman; sister-in- law, Manette Freeman; nephew, Richard B. Freeman III. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters, Krewe of Flames, Krewe of Hyacinthians, and a member of the St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church Choir. The family would like to thank the staff of The Broadway Elder Living and Rehab Center and Hospice of South Louisiana. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Duet family. ======================
