Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1606.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Adams Gaubert, 61, a native of Venice and a resident of Montegut, passed away peacefully at her home, on her birthday at 9:07pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She lost her battle with Adenocarcinoma Lung and brain cancer which she was diagnosed on Sept. 11, 2015. Visitation will be from 9am until 11am with services following on Tuesday, June 14th at Houma First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gregory Mark Gaubert; parents, Julia and Alcide Adams Jr.; two sons, Scott Freeman and wife Tammy, Joshua Freeman and wife Somer; one step-daughter, Mistee Lovato and companion Chris; six grandchildren, Tiffany Billiot and husband Chase, Shane Freeman and fiance Kassie, Katie Freeman and companion Jonathan, Jace, Jake and Brooklyn Freeman; three step-grandchildren, Evan and Timothy Lovato, Christian Klosset; one great grandchild, Colstin Billiot and one great grandchild, Brylee Elizabeth Billiot, due to arrive in July; sister, Wanda Carpenter and husband Frank; brothers, Rickey Adams and wife Susan, Michael Adams and wife Suzette, Cord Adams Sr. and wife Sheila, Troy Adams Sr. and wife Julie. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Victor and Felicia Naquin, Delphine and Alcide Adams Sr. She loved any and everything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, cutting grass, working in her flower beds, painting or just sitting down enjoying the outdoors. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed helping everyone. She enjoyed cooking and baking for all her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She was the greatest wife, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother/granny, and friend anyone could ask for. She will be deeply missed by all.
