Marie M. LaBauve, 89, was born on June 1, 1927 and passed away peacefully on 
June 9, 2016. 
She was a lifelong resident of Belle Rose.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Thibodaux 
Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. 

Burial will follow in New Haven Baptist Cemetery in Tickfaw, LA.

She is survived by her sons, James H. LaBauve, Jr. and wife Ellen, Lucius S. 
LaBauve and wife Connie, and Llewellyn J. LaBauve and wife Sabrina; 
grandchildren, Tamara Burch, James H. LaBauve III, Amanda Merritt, Michael 
LaBauve, Quincy LaBauve, Jess LaBauve, and Natalie Kliebert, and numerous 
great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. LaBauve, Sr.; parents, Tommie 
and Marguerite M. Cowan, and sisters, Mildred C. Starkey and Kathleen "Kat" C. 
Bankston.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, church member, and loyal 
friend to many. Her true passion lied in educating youth adults alike, 
specifically those with special needs. She was a pure delight to be around and 
her humor and love for life will be missed.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements.
